BreakOut

What is Breakout all about?
Based from 2 Corinthian 5:17 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" BreakOut is a program designed to transit children from Grade 3-5 towards spiritual maturity by strong building relationships and in depth Bible study.

Syllabus
G3: To know Christ - "Break In"
G4: To grow in Christ - "Break Through"
G5: To apply to life - Writing testimony and daily life challenge topics discussions

Class Flow
We start our fellowship with Group Time to allow kids a chance to build fellowship among themselves. (i.e. different activities, games, outing, and special programs.) During Growth Time, the kids spend time doing Bible Study, sharing and praying together.

Awards
We will give points each meeting according to how many times they do devotion, for how many times they pray for others during the previous week at home, bringing Bible, praying out loud. They will be rewarded for their individual points; and we will have a special program when the whole class reaches a certain amount of points collectively.

Special Program
Here's a list of special programs that we have had and may have in the future:

  • movie night - Chuck e Cheese Night Out
  • BBQ - Miniature golf
  • Bowling - Special craft, e.g. porcelain making
  • Cooking Night - Small Olympic
  • Free Game Night

Devotion
We strongly encourage children to keep up their devotion time at home. Kids may use their own devotional material or the devotional material that we provide in September. One (1) point will be rewarded for each day's devotion as an incentive!

Absent
If any child was absent from a previous meeting, we will send home the lesson that she/he missed. And we require him/her to finish it at home and bring it back the next program. Five (5) points will be deducted from the kids if not finished or returned.
